Opponents of California’s Prop 8 are acting surprised by their own internal polling showing that Prop 8 would win by 4 points if the vote were taken today. They should not be. Exactly the same law was approved by California voters, 61-38 percent, in 2000. Even if it had not passed then by such a landslide, the logic in favor of Prop 8 is powerful.
Why should a nation give special legal recognition to any lifestyle choice that would result in the nation’s obliteration if all of its citizens choose it? I’m not talking about the AIDS/HIV problem — that’s a completely different story. I’m referring to the fact that homosexuality destroys a nation through depopulation. Most similarly destructive behaviors are against the law. All Prop 8 says is that it won’t be given the same legal blessing as marriage between man and woman.
Furthermore, why should any nation — knowing full well that children need a father and a mother — give special legal recognition to a family arrangement that virtually guarantees, where other people contribute children to the family, those children will have only one or the other? It’s just absurd.
The community is also fed up with the strong-arm tactics used by militant gays in California and elsewhere to stifle free speech and interfere with parents’ rights to teach their children what they believe about the dangers of homosexuality.
It might be a different world if the militant wing of gaydom would stand down. History, however, reveals their pathological inability to behave themselves. It’s in-your-face, 24-7. And it’s got to stop. If you insist on doing the homo thing, you do it on your own time, out of sight. I don’t want to know about or hear about it.

Meanwhile, their supposedly non-aggressive supporters are ripping signs right off the lawns of supporters. They have been observed and stopped in one case that was reported, and the individual was no teenager but an adult male. We have a Pro-8 rally in our neck of the woods soon, and are heartened that along with our professional security people, we have Bikers for Jesus. We will probably need both.
