Raila Odinga, Barack Obama & Kenya’s Islamic jihad

It is well known that Obama, as a sitting U.S. Senator, actively campaigned for his cousin, Kenyan presidential candidate Raila Odinga.  What is less well known is the bargain (in the form of an MOU) that Odinga struck with Kenyan Islamic fundamentalists, in August 2007, to buy the Islamic vote.

The end result of this bargain — had Odinga won the election and fulfilled the agreement — would have been the transformation of Kenya into an Al Qaeda terrorist incubator.  As it was, after Odinga lost, his followers staged a murderous rampage against their opponents.  Odinga encouraged the violence as a bargaining tactic to win himself the position of Prime Minister.

The evidence is abundant that Odinga signed an MOU.  Obama and Odinga supporters want to label as a “lie” the MoU version discussed here. However, the evidence suggests the opposite is true.  Another post, Odinga, Abdi & Obama: Which Islamic MoU is real? examines the evidence in more detail.

The MoU between Odinga and Kenyan Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi suggests that if Odinga had been elected as Kenyan president in the fall of 2007 Odinga would have made it impossible under Kenyan law for “any Muslim arrested for or suspected of Terrorism” to be tried anywhere but Kenya under Kenyan law.

Kenyan law, in addition, would henceforth be exclusively Shariah law in “Muslim declared regions” — the “coast” and “North Eastern regions” of the country – see the map, below — now visited by hundreds of thousands of western tourists each year.

It is no coincidence that this area of Kenya borders Somalia which continues to be an Al Qaeda stronghold.  Some may recall it as the venue for the Clinton administration’s Bay of Pigs-redux, in Mogadishu, the context for the movie Black Hawk Down.  Also noteworthy is Kenya’s proximity to Tanzania, focus of much of George Bush’s efforts to save Africa.

In these “Muslim declared” regions, the Odinga-Abdi agreement would outlaw – among other things – Farmer’s Choice, pork, other “haram products” and “women’s public dressing styles considered immoral or offensive to the Muslim faith” for all women, not just Muslims. At the same time, Odinga would establish a Sharia law court in every Kenyan “divisional headquarters.”

One foreseeable result of these machinations is that Al Qaeda would be safe-havened in Kenya, free to foment mayhem around the world — as they were until 2001 in Afghanistan and still are to an extent, today, in Somalia. Little wonder that Louis Farrakhan has endorsed Obama for president.

The question every American should be asking is how any American president – as Barack Obama seeks to become – could support a Kenyan candidate who promoted such violence in his home country through a scheme so obviously designed to further the global jihad?

Change.  Socialism.  Communism.  William Ayers.  Marxism.  Bernadine Dohrn.  Charles Manson.  Islamic Jihad.  Al Qaeda. Bloodshed.  Raila Odinga.  Saul Alinsky.

Barack Obama is not who he says he is.  Last fall, Kenya was in flames.  Obama helped fan them. The connections are all thoroughly documented.  America’s choice is clear.
