Absolutely spectacular! Extremely well done. Magnificent!
This may be the premiere example of agit-prop of the 2008 election. The upwelling music and choir at appropriate points is almost enough to bring tears to the eyes and a lump to the throat.
The music is lovely. Some of the pictures quite stirring.
The message disturbing.
Folks, on the one hand, adamantly insist that government has no business dictating religion or legislating morality, then those same folks want all sorts of government interference in protecting their definitions…what ‘family’ is, when life begins, who can marry whom….
Perhaps this is the ultimate hypocrisy……
I believe that if I were a good Catholic I would believe that my religion was the right one. in fact everyone who firmly believes in their religion would believe that. And if I were to go among the Catholics they would try to convert me to their religion. The same with any other. And they have programs to try to convert others as well. But I am FLDS. Why am I persecuted because of my beliefs.? The little ad was very well done and it does appeal to the honest in heart. I truly stand by the eleventh article of faith. “I claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of my own conscience and allow all men the same privilege let then worship how, where or what they may.” I would much rather deal with a Catholic than an apostate Mormon. Just because someone does not believe in my religion does not mean that they are not honest in heart. People who never new the law will not be bound to it. Those who persecute others weather Catholic or FLDS or even LDS because of their beliefs are the ones who need to repent the most.
As a Catholic, we do not try to convert anybody. If someone chooses to convert, we support them and sponsor them. But we do not generally try to convert non-Catholics.
That is one of my all-time most favorite pictures! When I see that, and when I look at the images of my own children in the womb at 18 weeks and again at 25 weeks, it is impossible to think that life has not already begun. Separate DNA…Separate heartbeat…Separate human being.
Kathy,
it is because I don’t think it is really important to John McCane. He just knows the “right” words to use.
The only two who really did was a former preacher from Arkansas and… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXZpuIXEzWk
OH, Pliggy, please! The preacher from Arkansas was not the only one and John McCain has been pro life as long as he’s been in the Senate and before.
Let’s not get into what is wrong with the preacher from Arkansa or I’ll invite all the hotairs to come over and tell you what is really wrong with him.
Cayuga,
Invite away, they, like John McCane, are just hot air anyway. But as much as I disagreed with Gomer Pyle I at least can see the nobility of honesty. If you are gonna spend money to the moon, you at least aught to be honest enough with the American people to TAX them.
Ah, that he was there when Madison worked up the Constitution:
“I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our Constitution - taking from the federal government their power of borrowing.”-Thomas Jefferson, 1798

Did you know that Congress can remove juristiction from the Supreme Court?
Google “We the People Act” HR300
A simple majority of congress and the signature of the President can overturn Roe

XGI, I know you won’t understand this, but “we had spaghetti for dinner three times last week.”
Cosmo 10.07.08 at 8:26 pm
Okay, I was trying to do that from memory. The line is really:
“We had spaghetti 3 times at our house this week!”.

It did bring tears to this user’s eyes as well as a lump in the throat.

Oh Pliggy! Wow! I hadn’t seen this before. It is beautiful and amazing. Every baby is such a miracle.
Have you noticed how little this issue has been discussed in this election?
Cayuga 10.08.08 at 10:14 pm
And how little the born alive bill that obama defeated has been brought up?
It’s a great video! Not a Catholic, but believe the same. It is well done.
