I want to take a moment to praise the heroism of employees of Hill Country Mental Health who — at great personal risk in the face of the armed might of the State of Texas — did their best to protect and defend the FLDS in their care and then spoke out about the horrors of the Texas concentration camp where the FLDS were held for several weeks. I do not know your names, but God and and his angels do. Some day, I hope to have the privilege of meeting you. You deserve medals for your bravery and kindness. I hope that more of your fellow Texans take your lead.
Below, I present a paragraph from a statement written by one of these Hill Country Heroes. Click on the paragraph to read the entire statement.
