Picking up where Tarek Ibn Ziyad left off in 711 A.D., Muslim cleric and Hamas rep to the Palestinian parliament, Yunis al-Astal, got on the same page with visiting Baptist sunday school teacher (and crackpot former U.S. President) Jimmy Carter, announcing that Rome, “the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital,” and “Europe in its entirety” would soon fall to the Islamic Jihad. Watch here:
The Baptists have had it in for the Catholics for a long time, so it appears that Carter’s diplomatic mission to Hamas is bearing fruit. Go Jimmy! PTL, dude!
Foxnews reports that it was the same Al-Astal who, last June, announced it “the duty of Palestinian women to martyr themselves by becoming homicide bombers”:
“When jihad becomes an individual duty, it applies to women too, because women do not differ from men when it comes to individual duties,” he said, calling Jews “the brothers of apes and pigs” who should “taste the bitterness of death.”
We assume Al-Astal was advocating that women should shoulder manly duties, but not men womanly duties as one gets the impression that Islam would take a dim view of men who attempt childbirth or its necessary predicates.
Friday’s rant repeated that theme: “Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam, and has planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestine in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam.
“I believe that our children, or our grandchildren, will inherit our jihad and our sacrifices, and, Allah willing, the commanders of the conquest will come from among them.
“Today, we instill these good tidings in their souls – and by means of the mosques and the Koran books, and the history of our Prophets, his companions, and the great leaders, we prepare them for the mission of saving humanity from the hellfire at whose brink they stand.”
Good tidings, indeed! Surely, the children of Islam will find this all very heartwarming as they strap on their suicide vests. You can also watch al-Astal’s Friday rant at MimriTV.

Meanwhile, Obama has a dedicated page http://my.barackobama.com/page/dashboard/public/gGN9pM
on his website for Hatem El Hady, an identified terrorist who “was the chairman of the Toledo, Ohio-based Islamic charity, Kindhearts, which was closed by the US government in February 2006 for terrorist fundraising and all its assets frozen.” With thanks to Patrick Poole at Atlas Shrugged. El Hady, so it is reported, is fundraising for Obama. Hard to dispute when it is on Obama’s own website. Where do you think El Hady is raising the funds? In exchange for what promises?

It is going to take some very hard measures to prevent it from happening here, too. Living with wiretaps is just a starter. But the Democrat congress won’t even go that far to protect their country.
