First came tax cheat cum Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner. Then came (and went) Nancy Killefer and Tom Daschle whose pinnacle-of-hypocrisy “penny saved, penny earned” campaign ad adds comic color to the story:
President Obama, inexplicably, pushed all three of these “liberal” tax evaders despite their behavior which, at least on the part of Geithner and Daschle, would land ordinary Americans in jail.
While his nominees loot the treasury by not paying their share, Obama himself is poised to rob taxpayers through the front door, hawking the biggest financial scam yet of the recent banking crisis: Nancy Pelosi’s outrageous, unrepentant, social-engineering money grab disguised as “economic stimulus”.
Mark Steyn’s column, Where Nations Go to Die, gets right to the point:
. . . Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, is on TV explaining the (at this point the congregation shall fall to its knees and prostrate itself) “stimulus.” “How,” asks the lady from CBS, “does $335 million in STD prevention stimulate the economy?”
“I’ll tell you how,” says Speaker Pelosi. “I’m a big believer in prevention. And we have, er, there is a part of the bill on the House side that is about prevention. It’s about it being less expensive to the states to do these measures.”
Makes a lot of sense. If we have more STD prevention, it will be safer for loose women to go into bars and pick up feckless men, thus stimulating the critical beer and nuts and jukebox industries. To do this, we need trillion-dollar deficits, which our children and grandchildren will have to pay off—but, with sufficient investment in prevention measures, there won’t be any children or grandchildren, so there’s that problem solved. . . .
The Obama “stimulus” plan is a poorly disguised, business-as-usual, politically motivated pork binge. After years of being denied access to the loot by a Republican President, the Democrats just can’t help themselves. Obama and his Democrat enablers should be ashamed of themselves for suggesting that this plan is worth a second look.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Obama and henchmen to acquire a bold new capacity for shame. It ain’t gonna happen.
Sure the Obamessiah is “taking full responsibility” for the Daschle debacle. But even that is a fraud. Is he taking ANY responsibility for nominating Geithner or Holder, or for the 4.1 billion “stimulus” for (choke) ACORN?
Let’s see, if we follow the Pelosi line of reasoning, that IS a stimulus, so ACORN can go out there and strong-arm other businesses into giving things away, like mortgages that people did not qualify for, and collapse other industries as they did the banking industry…
Talk about the Obama incapacity for shame: Look at his nominee for Deputy Attorney General, David Ogden, who has argued against internet filters in public libraries to protect children from smut, from using children to produce porn, and who defended Playboy, Penthouse, etc., etc. This is a porn lawyer he is shoving down our throats. Obama is just one great guy, isn’t he? Let’s see… He’s in favor of killing newborns who survive the first attempt to kill them, in favor of selling porn to kids and using them to create it, wants crooks in charge of the treasury and health care, is happy with a Secretary of State whose husband runs trots around world-wide collecting “speaking fees” that will compromise our national security, buying access to top secret information and special deals for petty and not-so-petty dictators… and who is heading toward shutting down talk radio, i.e., freedom of speech.
He’s in favor of controlling your access to ammo, without which your guns will do you no good when that federal national police system he advocates comes knocking at your door. … And so much more!
The list of horrors coming from this man and his fellow thugs, so early in his reign, would do Hitler and Mussolini proud. The communists in Romania and other East European nations took two or three years to put a strangle-hold on their citizens. At this rate of speed, we could get there in six months.
