82nd Airborne comes home to filth at Fort Bragg

As Texas CPS and Judge Walther squander time, treasure and constitutional integrity hounding the FLDS, the AP reports that the U.S. Army is expanding its investigation of bad conditions at Fort Bragg. A video shot by the father of an 82nd Airborne Division soldier revealed “mold inside the barracks, peeling interior paint and a bathroom drain plugged with sewage.” Understandably, the father, Ed Frawley, “said he was disgusted by the conditions that greeted his son and the rest of his 82nd Airborne unit that returned on April 7-8 after a 15-month tour of duty in Afghanistan.”

Brig. Gen. Dennis Rogers, responsible for barracks maintenance throughout the Army said:

We let our soldiers down, and that’s not like us,” Rogers told reporters. “We let our soldiers down. That’s not how we want America’s sons and daughters to live. There’s no good excuse for what happened.

Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum noted that Ft. Bragg, which houses 51,000 soldiers “is saddled with 1950s-vintage housing that is [duh!] not popular with soldiers:”

“Are soldiers happy with living in the Korean War-era barracks? No,” McCollum said. They do not meet the expectations of today’s troops, although the Army has done what it can to improve living conditions, McCollum said, speaking by telephone from Fort Bragg.

“Today, no matter how hard we try, we can’t put enough lipstick on this pig to make it more pretty,” the spokesman said. “So are there soldiers complaining? Yeah.” He said they’ve been complaining for decades.

I have a suggestion to solve this problem. There are now, in West Texas, a gang of child snatchers — we could call it the Walther gang — on the loose busy as a bees destroying the very Constitution that the 82nd American has been fighting and dying for over the the 15 months in Afghanistan. Some of these kidnappers were actually sitting yesterday in a maternity ward, in San Angelo, Texas, waiting to snatch a newborn from its mother who they say — but can’t prove — is under 18 years old. She insists she’s over 18. Without proof that she is not, the Walther gang are using their guns and state authority to bully the girl into giving up her child.

What isn’t explained is why the Walther gang thinks that 17-year-old mothers should not be permitted to keep their children if they want them. How about if the 82nd Airborne sends a few guys over to San Angelo to round up the Walther gang and put ‘em to work building decent barracks at Ft. Bragg?
